Curated by KS Radhakrishnan, the exhibition presents the creative collaboration between the great Bengali writer Parashuram and artist Jatindrakumar Sen, via the visuals created by Sen based on Parashuram’s instructions and sketches. These images, printed in Parashuram’s story collections Gaddalika, Kajjali and Hanumaner Swapno Ityadi Golpo, formed an intrinsic part of the lives of generations of Bengalis. The original illustrations lay in a closed room in the writer’s house for decades till Kolkata-based collector Parimal Ray rescued them.
