Overview

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Mumbai hosted two major exhibitions consecutively — Toiletpaper: Run As Slow As You Can by Toiletpaper magazine with artists Pierpaolo Ferrari and Maurizio Cattelan, followed by POP: Fame, Power, Love, featuring iconic works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg and Keith Haring, among others. Art Fervour was involved in curating, conceptualising and executing public programming and on-ground experiential engagements for audiences across both exhibitions.

Art Fervour also conceptualised, created and executed digital interventions and workshops for the exhibitions Liminal Gaps (featuring RAQs Media collective, Ayesha Singh, Afrah Shafiq and among others) and Light into Space (featuring John Chamberlain, Nancy Holt, Robert Irwin, and Robert Smithson, among others).

Toiletpaper: Run As Slow As You Can

  • Conceptualised and curated two practitioner-led workshops aligned with the exhibition.
  • Managed marketing, coordination and on-ground execution of the workshops.
  • Both workshops were attended at full capacity, with approximately 20 participants per session.

POP: Fame, Power, Love

Pop Art–Themed Activity Stations

Art Fervour conceptualised, designed and presented multiple pop art–themed activity stations across the exhibition period, open to all visitors free of charge.

Pop Art–Themed Festive Gift Card–Making Station | December 2023

  • Presented a 2-day Christmas-themed activity station with festive adaptations of pop art and exhibition references.
  • Designed greeting cards, postcards and pop art–themed stickers for participants to embellish and take away as souvenirs.
  • Handled full conceptualisation and design of all printed materials and stickers.
  • 750+ visitors engaged with the station across both days.

POP Pocket Mag (Zine-Making) Activity Station | January 2024

  • Presented a 2-day DIY zine-making station focused on pop-inspired formats.
  • Designed foldable A4 sheets that transformed into 8-page zines with pop art elements.
  • Created all zine layouts and pop art–themed stickers used in the activity.
  • 500+ visitors participated across both days.

Pop Art Screen Printing & Pin-Badge Activity Station

  • Conceptualised and presented a 2-day pop art–themed screen-printing activity station.
  • Enabled visitors to screen print postcards and create pin-badges using pop-inspired motifs.
  • Designed 4 screens with multiple motifs that could be mixed and matched during printing. Responsible for programme concept and all screen designs inspired by pop art and culturally rooted Indian motifs.
  • 600 visitors+ participated across both days.
  • 300 postcards and 300 pin-badges were produced and taken away by audiences.

Liminal Gaps

Digital Quiz

  • Conceptualised and designed a digital quiz accessible via QR code within the exhibition.
  • Participants earned digital badges on completion, shareable on social media.
  • Recorded 400+ unique users and 700+ total visits over one month.

Light into Space

Kaleidoscope-Making Activity Station

  • Presented a 2-day kaleidoscope-making activity station open to all exhibition visitors.
  • Designed the activity in response to the exhibition’s themes and artworks.
  • Participants created and took home handcrafted kaleidoscopes.
  • 100+ participants engaged across both days.

Glow-in-the-Neon Painting Activity Station

  • Presented a neon painting activity station using glow-in-the-dark paints.
  • Set up a darkroom with black lights to view finished works.
  • Participants created and took home neon-painted canvases.
  • 50+ visitors participated in the activity.

Digital Crossword

  • Conceptualised and designed a digital crossword accessible via QR code.
  • Offered three difficulty levels with digital badges awarded on completion.
  • Badges were shareable via social media, extending engagement beyond the exhibition space.
