1. SSAF-AAA Research Grant
Archiving is a vital activity for research in any discipline, for it offers you a chance to engage with the historical context of that field. Committed in their mission to digitise, document and make accessible the recent histories of art, the Sher-Gil Sundaram Arts Foundation (SAF) and the Asia Art Archive (AAA) have come together to offer the SSAF-AAA Research Grant.
In its 4th year the grant encourages creative methodologies of identifying, documenting, researching and annotating historical art resources. The SSAF-AAA grant gives preference to proposals that interrogate how print and visual material of different kinds contributed to, constituted, and were embedded in the cultural politics of a historical moment. The last date for submission of the applications is 13th March 2022, based on which 5 candidates will be shortlisted for the interviews. The interview will be conducted online in April 2022 and the selected grantee will be contacted by the end of April 2022. 2. ThinkArts Grant 2022
The arts have a strong impact on children and can be harnessed as a fun format of learning to experience the world in a fuller manner. Development of key skills like empathy, emotional intelligence, adaptability and innovation becomes easier when children are engaged with the arts. Keeping in mind this potential of the arts, ThinkArts with the support of Takshila Educational Society launched the ThinkArts Grant for Artists and Theatre for Young Audiences Practitioners in 2021 to produce new digital content especially for young children. Now in its second edition, the ThinkArts Grant is the only grant in India that focuses on young audiences.
With a primary focus on digital content, the ThinkArts Grant aims at exploring new ways to make arts more accessible to young audiences especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Under this grant the four selected applicants will be awarded INR 75,000 each to create an original digital piece of at least 20 minutes for young audiences. 3. Price Claus Seed Awards 2022
Every year, the Prince Claus Fund recognizes 100 emerging artists and cultural practitioners who are within the first five years of their careers. The recipients of this grant are free to invest the award of € 5.000 in the development of their artistic practises. The aim of this grant is to build a forum for emerging artists to experiment and develop new perspectives of societal challenges through their own art practises. Applications for this grant are invited from 75 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Easter Europe.To know about the application details please visit the Prince Claus Seed Awards page. 4. Innovate Grant
If you are looking for a grant that is easy to apply with no time-consuming requirements, Innovate Grant is the answer to all your problems. Born out of the frustration of lengthy applications that took away valuable time and energy, the Innovate Grant believes that time is the most important component to foster creativity and innovation. Now with this simple grant application, you can spend more time working on your art.

The Innovative Grant distributes two $550.00 grants each quarter to one visual artist and one photographer. The grant cycles are in Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Moreover, the winners of the grants are featured on the Innovate Grant website.
